What is Tesofensine?

Tesofensine has been an experimental compound that has gained tons of notoriety for its ability to help promote weight loss and help with the users mental health.

Originally designed as an antidepressant, tesofensine was shown in the clinical studies to help promote appetite suppression and weight loss in test subjects also.

Tesofensine is an inhibitor of the reuptake of three neurotransmitters dopamine, serotonin, and norepinephrine.

How Does Tesofensine Work in The Body?

Tesofenine works as a triple reuptake inhibitor of three neurotransmitters of dopamine, serotonin, and norepinephrine.

When something reuptakes the inhibition of neurotransmitters it means it raises the levels of those in the body.

Meaning tesofensine raises dopamine, serotonin, and norepinephrine which can lead to more energy, focus, and less appetite which downstream leads to more weight loss.

Benefits of Tesofensine

Tesofensine carries with it tons of benefits.  It should be noted that with tesofensine everyone’s experience will be slightly different.

Antidepressant

Tesofensine is able to help provide relief for some who have depression.

In some instances and studies it has been shown to help stabilize mood and provide an improvement in depressive based symptoms.

More Energy

Due to it raising dopamine and norepinephrine, Tesofensine can be excellent at improving your physical and mental energy.

More Weight Loss

Tesofensine has been shown in studies and the real world to be super powerful at helping to promote weight loss.

Tesofensine does this through a few mechanisms but the main one being its ability to increase energy expenditure, and decrease appetite.  Through these tesofensine it can be extremely vital in helping you achieve your weight loss goals.

More Motivation

Due to it raising dopamine, tesofensine is able to help raise motivation and make you a more productive person. It has even been shown to be potentially helpful with ADHD.

Side Effects of Tesofensine

Now tesofensine does carry with it some side effects.

Some people do not respond well to the higher levels of serotonin and the other neurotransmitters.

This can lead to some people using tesofensine, and feeling horrible mentally.

While this won’t happen to everyone, some people do get some mental side effects.

Due to its half life of 9 days some people due get some insomnia form using this compound. This can be typically mitigated with certain natural over the counter sleep supplements.

Tesofensine has also caused some indigestion for people, and some stomach based issues.

User Experiences with Tesofensine

Here are various user Experiences with Tesofensine from the internet community reddit.

My Experience with Tesofensine

For me tesofensine was a great experience.  I mentally felt really good on it.  I had tons of energy, and focus when I was using it.

I also noticed that my mood was much better and more stable while using Tesofensine. Typically my mood can be a bit all over the place but with tesofensine it was much more stable and did not fluctuate as much.

I was also super motivated on tesofensine likely due to the increase in dopamine.

In terms of weight loss I found that while it was effective and helpful it was not the most powerful weight loss agent I had ever taken.

To be fully honest though I was not really trying to lose a bunch of weight on it, so my diet and my training were suboptimal for weight loss I still managed to accidentally lose a few lbs with tesofensine.

The main loss mainly came from two factors in my opinion, one being that it did lower my appetite so I was eating less, and two due to the increase in motivation and energy I was moving more and doing more leading to me burning more calories.

All in all I felt like it was a very good and useful compound.  While for me it was mainly a nootropic that helped me become super efficient, and stabilize my mood,

In terms of fat loss I will say the effects I got were more mild, but with that being said I did still notice them, just compared to a fat burner like clenbuterol they were not nearly as strong.

I also had pretty minimal side effects from it, as many people report sleep disturbances with using this compound I did not get that in any way. To be totally honest I really did not get any side effects from this compound, not to say though I would not have gotten any down the line.

Tesofensine Q&A

Q: Can Tesofensine Be Stacked with a GLP-1 like Semaglutide?

A: While there is not direct data on this there should be no issue stacking these two.

Q: Can I use Tesofensine while taking my SSRI?

A: NO, this is a bad idea and could lead to serotonin syndrome.

Q: Why Do Some People Feel Worse Mentally When Using Tesofensine?

A:  Everyone has different brains and genetics.  Just like any drug the response will be different from person to person. While most people have a good response, some people feel worse mentally on tesofensine.

Q: How much Weight Loss Can I Expect?

A: There is no set amount of weight it can help you lose, but by being active, and dieting properly it can play a huge role in helping you lose weight.

Q: Will it Hurt My Sleep?

A: Due to its long half life, and increase in neurotransmitters which give us energy some people have gotten worse sleep on this compound.  You can combat it with a natural sleep stack like glycine, magnolia bark, and Magnesium Bisglycinate.

Tesofensine Dosing Protocol

You must keep in mind Tesofensine has a 9 day half life so if you dose it everyday the effects will build up alot.

I recommend using 500mcg EOD for around 4-6 weeks then taking a 4 week break before continuing again just to give your body a break.

While you can go longer than 6 weeks it is highly advised that you keep a close watch on your blood pressure and your blood work while doing this.

Conclusion

In conclusion Tesofensine holds insane promise and potential.  Its ability to help fight depression, improve motivation, and help you lose weight gives it the chance to become one of the most life changing drugs ever.

As the research and the data continues to come out on it I am excited to see all the ways it can be used to help change and improve people’s lives.
